University of Sharjah Hosts Seminar on the New Amendments to the UAE Personal Status Law
As part of its ongoing collaboration with the Sharjah Supreme Judiciary Council, the College of Law at the University of Sharjah held a legal seminar titled "Updates in the UAE Personal Status Law No. (41) of 2024", featuring a panel of distinguished judges and legal scholars.
The seminar explored the key legislative developments introduced by the new law and addressed the practical challenges it poses to judicial and family systems. It further highlighted the balance between legal principles and the unique social context of the UAE. The speakers included Judge Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shdeifat, Judge Dr. Amr Al-Husseini, Prof. Dr. Saleh Ahmed Al-Laheebi, and Dr. Nashwa Ahmed Mohamed, each offering insightful legal analysis from their respective areas of expertise.The event attracted a notable academic and legal audience, reflecting the importance of the subject and the legal community’s keen interest in current legislative changes. Certificates of participation were awarded at the conclusion of the seminar.
