Chemical & Water Desalination Engineering Students Visit SNOC

Students from the Chemical and Water Desalination Engineering program atthe University of Sharjah were honored to visit Sharjah National OilCorporation (SNOC) as part of their academic and professional development.The visit provided a valuable opportunity to connect classroom knowledgewith real industrial applications. Students gained insights into energyproduction processes, operational excellence, safety culture, and the role ofengineering in supporting sustainable resource management.Experiences like this are essential for Chemical and Water DesalinationEngineering students, as they highlight the strong connection between theenergy sector, process engineering, and water sustainability. The studentsvisited the Sajaa Gas Plant as well as the expansive SANA Solar Plantdelivering 60 MW of clean energy.We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality, knowledge sharing, andprofessionalism of the SNOC team. Their support created an engaging andinspiring learning experience for our students.We look forward to future collaborations that continue to empower studentsand strengthen industry–academia connections.
