Academic-Community Partnership for Sustainable Development

The University of Sharjah has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Dar Al Ber Society to foster collaboration in the development of engineering and design solutions for the Society’s developmental construction projects locally and internationally.

Within this framework, the College of Engineering assumes a pivotal role. Faculty and students will engage in preparing research papers with applied design outcomes, conducting studies on the use of available building materials and modern construction techniques, and developing sustainable and innovative design solutions that integrate renewable energy considerations. In addition, the College will contribute to supervising the implementation of projects, ensuring alignment with best practices in engineering and sustainability.

This partnership is expected to bridge academic research with real-world applications, offering valuable experiential learning opportunities for students, while simultaneously supporting Dar Al Ber Society in advancing its developmental and humanitarian initiatives.
