Assessing Land Surface Temperature for Sustainable Urban Planning in UAE

Desert sand in the UAE is widely available but generally unsuitable forconstruction due to its poor gradation, low cohesion, and weakmechanical performance. Biopolymers such as Xanthan Gum (XG) haveemerged as environmentally friendly soil stabilizers capable of improvingshear strength, stiffness, and durability without the environmentaldrawbacks of cement or chemical additives. XG interacts with sandparticles through viscous bonding and moisture retention, forming ahydrogel matrix that enhances interparticle bonding and load resistance.
