Architectural Engineering students and their supervisors won awards in the Al-Dhaid Public Park Design Competition, organized by the Department of Architectural Engineering (DAE) and the Department of Public Works, Government of Sharjah, and coordinated by Ahmad W. Sukkar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering. The competition aimed to create a post-curricular space for collaboration between these two departments to link the University to real governmental projects for the benefit of the community and to achieve sustainability. The final celebration took place on May 27, 2024, at the main branch of the Sharjah Department of Public Works in Naseeria.
