College Faculty Participate in AI-Enhanced Course Redesign Bootcamp
Faculty members from the College of Dental Medicine participated in the Faculty Bootcamp for AI-Enhanced Course Redesign on 20 August 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, as part of a university-wide initiative organized by the Institute of Leadership in Higher Education. The hands-on session brought faculty together to explore practical and responsible ways of integrating artificial intelligence into teaching, learning, and assessment. Participants examined how AI can support curriculum review, strengthen course design, and help develop authentic, AI-resilient assessments that promote critical thinking, creativity, and meaningful evidence of student learning. Faculty also explored the creation of AI-enhanced educational resources using emerging digital tools and worked on redesigning elements of their own courses with an emphasis on producing outputs that could be directly implemented in teaching. The college session was delivered by Dr. Jacqueline Maria Dias, Dr. Mini Sara Ibrahim, and Mr. Sajad Abdul Azeez. The Bootcamp reflects the University of Sharjah’s continuing commitment to educational innovation and responsible AI adoption, while supporting faculty in developing academically rigorous, engaging, and future-ready learning experiences for students.
