University of Sharjah wins first place in 'University Excellence' category at aesthetic dentistry MENA awards 2025

The University of Sharjah has been awarded first place in the prestigious University Excellence category at the Aesthetic Dentistry MENA Awards 2025, organized by CAPP and held in conjunction with the CAD/CAM Digital & Oral Facial Aesthetics 39th International Dental Conference & Exhibition in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

The newly launched University Excellence initiative recognizes the collective achievements of universities and their dental students across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, highlighting clinical training, innovation, and case quality submitted under the official student categories of the awards. In this inaugural cycle, the University of Sharjah secured first place among all other major dental schools in the country.

This recognition reflects the strength of the College of Dental Medicine’s clinical education, mentorship culture, and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered aesthetic dentistry. Student case submissions showcased a wide range of conservative, multidisciplinary, minimally invasive, and radiographic treatments evaluated anonymously by an independent jury as part of a competition that attracted 213 case submissions from 117 participants worldwide.

The award further strengthens the University of Sharjah’s regional and international profile in aesthetic and digital dentistry and underscores the college’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality clinical training, encourage student participation in reputable international platforms, and contribute to raising standards of dental care and education across the MENA region.
