Dr. Karam M. Sallam from the College of Computing and Informatics - computer science department won the Sharjah Islamic Bank Award for Scientific Research (Faculty Category) for his research project "An enhanced LSHADE-based algorithm for global and constrained optimization in applied mechanics and power flow problems." The award carries a prize of AED 10,000, shared among UoS-affiliated team members.
