​A PhD Dissertation in Fiqh (Jurisprudence) and Its Fundamentals entitled: “The Ruler's Actions in Handling the Corona Pandemic (Covid-19): A Fundamental Jurisprudential Study” was submitted for a Viva voce defense by Mr. Sultan bin Saeed bin Muhammad Al Dhahli, a PhD student in the field of comparative Fiqh. The viva voce took place at Ibn Hanbal Auditorium, Female Campus, College of Shari’ah and Islamic Studies, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 1pm. The viva voce committee consisted of Prof. Muhammad Ali Sumeran (thesis supervisor), Prof. Hajj Muhammad Hajj Al-Dush (external examiner), Prof. Kathafi Izzat Abdel Hadi Al Ghananim (internal examiner and chair of the committee) and Dr Arif Mohammed Aljanahi (second internal examiner).
