The department of Nursing offers 3 programs.
- A four-year stream for high school graduates.
- Bridging/ Post-diploma stream for registered nurses with a diploma in nursing
- Master of Science in adult critical care nursing
The bachelor program combines theory and practice to prepare nurses to work in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools and communities. Nurses have many career choices, such as providing health care to people of all ages, educating patients, and working in administration or research. The career opportunities are excellent, since there is a shortage of nurses in the UAE and worldwide.
The outcome of the masters in adult critical care focuses on the research skills of the graduate and provides the foundation for further study at the doctoral level. This program produces competent, professional critical care nurse graduates who are able to provide advanced care practices for adult patients with multiple complex problems.
