  • • Molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases especially emerging viral and parasitic infections; examples include TT virus, HGV, EBV, and other viruses in addition to parasites like Entamoeba, Cryptosporidium and Blastocystis. • Vitamin D axis (VDBP and VDR) in relation to diabetes, metabolic syndrome and obesity. • Molecular epidemiology of antibacterial resistance.
