I am grateful to have graduated with a B.Sc. with highest honors from the University of Sharjah, College of Health Sciences, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. Throughout the four years of my study, I have gained extensive knowledge in clinical science as well as experience in scientific research. I took part in three research projects, two of which I have participated voluntarily. University life has taught me that if there is a will there is a way. Through hard work and persistence, one can undoubtedly reach his aim. Recently I have passed the ASCP certification exam. I am looking forward to pursue graduate studies that will prepare me for a career in medical research. I want to take this opportunity to send a very big thank you to all the professors who have taught me. Each one of you was unique in his/her way. I certainly learned a lot from every one of you. You made us think from different perspectives, encouraged us to raise questions and sometimes to research for their answers. You were very kind, lovely and always willing to help.

I’m grateful for pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences at this well-esteemed University. I’m proud to have passed my American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) exam from the first attempt and without the need for transcript equivalency. In addition, this program has equipped me with scientific research skills that enable me to continue my journey in the academic research field. University of Sharjah is a great platform that allowed me to learn from the best and most experienced mentors, whom I wish to send a million thanks to. Thank you for faithfully answering my endless questions, for being my role models, and for assisting me whenever I felt lost... Thank you for being passionate, caring, and simply great! Your efforts have undoubtedly contributed to my graduation with a CGPA of 4.0. University of Sharjah, you will always be a delightful memory in my mind.

As every high school graduate gets confused in deciding what to study, I was anxious in choosing a major that will enable me to work in various fields. Since, I have a strong interest in basic science and biology; it led me to the MLS program. If time goes back, I would choose nothing but MLS. I was exposed to different fields of laboratory, which further solidified my keen interest in pathology and cancer in particular. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to work on a colon cancer research project at high standards that furnished my research skills. I truly enjoyed studying MLS because it helped me see what I want to be in the next few years. Nothing expresses my gratitude and appreciation to all MLS faculty members who have always been there for me.
