Department of Medical Diagnostic Imaging, College of Health Sciences, organized Radiography Day on the 13th of November 2022 at the Medical and Health Sciences Campus. The event highlighted student's clinical experience through a clinical preceptor workshop which was attended by 33 preceptors and alumni from multiple hospitals and clinical sites. The preceptors shared their experiences, recommended new methods to link the preceptors in the clinical sites, the department of MDI and the students, and listened to the current students' experiences as well. CANON imaging presented the current trends in AI in the medical field.
The event also included 1st year student orientation presented by Ms. Zarmeena and Dr. Mohammed, MDI seminar, and presentations by senior students to showcase the properties of MDI modalities. These sessions were attended by many MDI students from all batches and were running parallel to the preceptors' workshop. The Dean of CHS, Prof. Mohamad Alameddine, presented the preceptors with gifts and certificates of attendance.
Last but not least, the second year students organized games and fun activities after the sessions at the cafeteria to celebrate World Radiography Day which was the perfect ending to a scientific and an eventful day. Some students' families also attended the activities.
