Program Components 

The program requires a satisfactory completion of 45 credits of course and research components.  The course component includes 9 credits of compulsory courses (Core Courses), 9 elective credits, and a zero -credit seminar. The research component consists of a six–credit research proposal and twenty one-credit thesis. The research of the thesis could be either industrial-oriented or theoretical, or a combination of both.

2.  ​​Subject to approval of the  supervisor and program coordinator, no more than two courses maybe taken from the following courses:

• Graduate Courses offered by other departments in the College of Engineering
• Graduate Courses offered by the MEM program
• Graduate Courses offered by the College of Business Administration

• Admission to this program is open to students holding BSc and MSc degrees in engineering from a recognized university with a minimum GPA of 3 out of 4 or equivalent. Students holding a B.Sc. degree in engineering from a recognized university with MSc degree, from a recognized university, in a filed related to engineering management with a minimum GPA of 3 out of 4 can also apply.
• Applicants should satisfy the English Language proficiency requirement of 550 in TOEFL or 6.0 in IELTS if the medium of instruction in their Master’s degree was not English.
• Applicants may be asked to give a presentation and to make an interview with the PhD program committee.
• The admission to the program is competitive subject to the limit of the available seats
