I am always at the for front of new methods and new models of higher education and project these methods on my students in class. I use a multi-components approach where I apply in my classes problem solving and learning by doing techniques. I view for the future that the students need to learning and acquire, besides the technical curriculum, generic skills of future engineers such as leadership, communications skills, time management skills,…They also need to learn how to look for the right information and to analyze information in this explosive age of excess of information. I plan to engage my students in long life learning to cope always and on time with modern technologies and new developments in higher education. I always take teaching in class as a passion and this is reflected in my enthusiasm of lecture delivery. This enthusiasm affects the students in my class and motivate them to seek for more knowledge and give more interest to the topics of every lecture. I always urge the students to practice active learning to get the maximum out of the course. I developed a method with my students based on problem solving and learning by doing. After lecturing in class, the students are asked to solve a large number of problems in the subject of the lecture after which I conduct an interactive tutorial in a tutorial class where, together with students, we solve these problems. I introduced undergraduate research in my junior and senior classes by assigning to students course projects for which they perform literature search on a chosen topic, read research papers, write a project report and make a presentation. I evaluate thoroughly these educational methods using an innovative assessment technique and perform the necessary actions for the coming semesters. In the area of the Innovative use of technology in learning & teaching, I use Blackboard daily to make available all the course material needed for the students and interact daily with my students in terms of course delivery, announcements, advices,…
