The Department of Electrical Engineering organized the EE Graduate
Research Day on May 31, 2021, 4:00 pm. The purpose of the event was to
improve graduate student experience, encourage positive interaction between
graduate students and faculty members, and provide new students with all the
information and guidelines they need to complete their graduate studies
successfully. The event also served as a forum for advanced graduate students, including
some students who have already successfully completed their studies, to share
their research insights and experience with fellow students. The event was
attended by Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate
Studies, and Prof. Ahmed Al Shamma’a, Dean of the College of Engineering. The
event commenced with a welcome to the graduate students by Prof. Soliman
Mahmoud, Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Anwar Jarandal,
the Graduate Studies Coordinator for the EE Department, introduced the research
interests of the Electrical Engineering faculty members. Dr. Ali Bou Nassif,
Assistant Dean of the College of Graduate Studies gave a talk on Graduate
Program guidelines.
