The Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Computer Engineering organized a Graduate Research Day on Nov. 28,2019. The purpose of the event was to improve graduate student experience, encourage positive interaction between graduate students and faculty members, and provide new students with all the information and guidelines they need to complete their graduate studies successfully. The event also served as a forum for advanced graduate students, including some students who have already successfully completed their studies, to share their research insights and experience with fellow students. The event commenced with a welcome to the graduate students by Prof. Soliman Mahmoud, chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering. This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Ali Bou Nassif , Assistant Dean of the Graduate Studies Department on the Graduate Program Guidelines. The research interests of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering faculty members were introduced by Dr. Anwar Jarandal, the Graduate Studies Coordinator for the EE Department, and Dr. Mohamed Saad, the Graduate Studies Coordinator for the CPE Department. Seven graduate students presented their research results: Eng. Maha Diab, Eng. Ahmed Salameh, Eng. Nabeel Al Awady, Eng. Imtinan Attili, Eng. Abdollah Darya, Eng. Meriem Bettayeb, and Eng. Bara'a Al Jilani. The event was attended by Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, and Prof. Ahmed Al Shamma'a, Dean of the College of Engineering. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the presenting EE students by Prof. Soliman Mahmoud and CPE students by Prof. Ibrahim Kamel. The event was closed with a dinner for the graduate students and faculty members. The event was supported and funded by the Deanship of the College of Engineering.
