Our faculty members, Dr. Khaled Hamad, and his PhD student Eng. Lubna Obaid, has won the First Place of Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport under the Academic Research/Project Category. The research was about Developing Travel Demand Forecasting Model for Sustainable Sharjah University City.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, today honoured winners of the 12th edition of the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport 2021 (DAST). The Award, launched by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), seeks to encourage the public and private sectors to adopt sustainable solutions that can reduce congestions, conserve the environment and step-up mobility safety levels.
