My teaching philosophy in based on four principles: •The teacher's role is to act as a guide. Students should be enabled with proper tools to answer their curiosity during their learning, and need the opportunity to practice and ask questions in a safe environment without being ridiculed. •Enthusiasm. I have a passion for what I teach. I love teaching pediatric dentistry because it is a discipline that impacts our children. My goal is to convey why pediatric dentistry is important and how its practice can change the quality of life. •Evidence. My teaching is evidence-based and reflects the importance of objectively assessing and criticizing studies from the scientific literature. My goal is to demonstrate the role evidence can have in making sound decisions in pediatric dentistry. •Empowerment. I encourage my students to think broadly about the clinical issues in pediatric dentistry. My goal is to empower students to become life-long learners, which will help them make decisions that raise patient and health outcomes.
