Services
The Periodontics Specialist Clinic provides periodontal surgical treatments including crown lengthening, gingival grafts, gingivectomies, and flap surgeries.
These are performed by a Specialist in Periodontics, and observed and assisted by students.
Admission
Patients are admitted only after receiving initial dental screening and treatment by year 4, year 5 students or the interns. After the completion of periodontal surgeries patients return to the student's care to complete their treatments. Referral from outside the Hospital can be accepted but you need to register in person at the Hospital and receive dental screening at the Admission Clinic.
Cost of treatment
Treatment is free for patients registered in the Hospital, unless some materials are required for the surgery (such as bone grafts), in which case the patient will cover the materials cost.
Operating times
During term-time (September-June) only.
The clinic is not operational on public holidays and during summer (July and August).
