It is my pleasure to welcome you to the webpage of the Department of Accounting. The department offers the undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Accounting. It is part of the College of Business Administration (Building M5 & W5) at the University of Sharjah – Sharjah University City.
The vision of the department is to be internationally recognized, and highly distinguished in the Gulf region, for its excellence in teaching, research and professional services. The department provides students with a broad knowledge and deep understanding of the latest developments in accounting and auditing. Our graduates enjoy diverse career choices and opportunities, for which they are well prepared upon graduation. In addition to recruiting faculty with a wide range of expertise and outstanding abilities in teaching, research and professional services, the department consistently improves its curricula so that our students receive the highest quality and most up-to-date education available.
Since accounting and auditing are essential skills for careers in management and finance, our graduates will be academically and professionally equipped to secure positions in governmental organizations, the Central Auditing Authority, international andnational audit firms, the stock market, and private sector entities. They are also able to pursue prestigious professional qualifications such as the Associated Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), the UAE Chartered Accountant (UAECA), MS.c. in Professional Accountancy from University of London, Certified Public Accountants (CPA), and Certified Management Accountants (CMA).
