On March 21st, the DFL organized an event in collaboration with the Francophonie Center at UoS to celebrate Francophonie Day. This gathering took place in the Students Forum and was divided into two engaging parts. 

      The first segment featured an insightful discussion with three inspiring Emirati personalities who are fluent in French: 

• His Excellency Dr. Salem Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to the OIF 
• His Excellency Shaikha Rad Al Qassimi (Executive - Cultural relations / Department of Government relations) 
• Dr. Mohammed AlAbboodi, translator. 

 Their experiences and perspectives added a unique touch to the event. 

The second part of the event allowed all the attendees to actively participate in various activities showcased at different booths, each representing a distinct facet of the Francophone world. 

The event's success was greatly attributed to the assistance of the students from the DFLSS. They played an important role by welcoming the guests, presenting the main event, and animating some booths.
