Welcome to the Department of Education in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The department of Education assists the college, and the University of Sharjah as a whole, by providing service basic and foundation courses in education and psychology. This academic year, 2018/2019, the department is seeking to gain accreditation for its first bachelor degree program in Early Childhood Education. In addition, the department is developing new graduate programs and striving to improve its Professional Diploma in Teaching program. The department will work closely with the Deanship of the Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness to seek international accreditation of its new and upcoming programs.
Currently, the department is planning to develop a conceptual framework that will be aligned with the national Emirates learning outcome and the international teacher and school standards. The framework will be a roadmap that will bring together the university core values, and department values, vision, intentions and academic operations.
