My teaching philosophy is: “To create students-centered learning environment wherein students learn through active learning, critical thinking, participation-encouraging in order to create an ambiance of collaboration within peers or team members with gaining confidence in their capabilities to achieve the learning objectives of their curriculum”. Nowadays students are living and engaged in an era of rapid technological advancements specially with the emergence as well as increasing scope of e-learning and distance learning. As education professionals, we should be totally immersed in these new aspects and dimensions of knowledge-sharing in order to convey the required syllabus to the students in a smooth way that is also mind-challenging and in an attractive manner to the receptor. Effective learning requires continuous collaboration between lecturer and students with mutual trust and respect. This can be achieved through listening to feedback from students and encourage them to suggest areas of improvement or whether there is an interesting topic that they would like to learn more about in depth. I also believe that I should motivate my students in presenting their assignments as projects preferably as group, with the aim to boost their talents by working together in a competitive group for information gathering and interpretation, gaining confidence in their presentation skills and enhancing their body language, as well as public communication. An additional aspect is by motivating students to attend workshops, seminars and even scientific conferences related to the area of interest and discipline. I totally believe that every student can learn efficiently if being accepted for who they are and at which stage they stand in their educational journey. Innovation is the key to keep minds working as well as reaching above and beyond. I believe in continuous enhancement in the learning process and renovating old syllabuses and keep them always updated. This is also achieved when the learning institution is backing the education professionals and supporting them to reach this vision, so working together parallel to offer high quality learning. Finally, I conclude that the explicit and the differentiated instruction today mean an opportunity to each student to realize and reach their maximum potential through practice and by guidance of their mentors through giving them a glimpse of the working environment and the challenges as well as opportunities awaiting them. Todays’ students will be the future researchers.
