I believe that a successful university faculty member should be a role model for his students in all aspects of university life as well as after graduation. The students are the main reason why we are present at the university, so I have to do my best inside and outside the classroom to facilitate the information and deliver it in an easy, understandable way, and at the same time encourage the student to search for information and improve his/her presentation skills. I believe that if you cannot explain it in an easy way, so you did not understand it well. I also connect what I teach in the classroom to the student’s future career, otherwise the students will not sense the significance of what I teach them. I’m always keen on posting the class notes before the class to give a chance for the students to be prepared for the class. The faculty member should be self-motivated and be at the level of the student’s expectations in terms of knowledge and experience. I always listen to my students’ feedback on my performance in order to reinforce the strengths and improve the weaknesses if any. I’m strongly persuaded that the successful teacher is the one who has the ability to effectively explain, express the ideas, respond the students’ queries and needs, and lead them to ask more questions and seek answers. As a part of the teaching process, the students should be involved in research activities such as graduation project, etc.
