If you have mild symptoms and no history of travel in the last 14 days, you are advised to stay home and treat your symptoms as you would an ordinary cold or flu. If you returned from abroad within the last 14 days and are now experiencing symptoms, you should visit your nearest health care center for a medical assessment. You are strongly urged to call one of the 24-hour help line numbers first, for instruction. You can also make use the Virtual Doctor, available online in MOHAP website, who can assess and advise you further. Symptoms can include mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, dry cough, shortness of breath and difficulty in breathing. Some patients experience body aches, muscle pain, headaches nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea or loss of sense of smell.
a. Examples of mild symptoms that does not require medical services; Mild fever, headaches, body aches pains, sore throat, loss of smell and test etc..
b. Symptoms that require medical attention; Sustained fever, persistent cough, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, bluish discoloration of lips and face.
