Dr. Alaa Abd AlWahab Nugud
Dr. Nugud is a Specialist Pediatrician at Latifa Women and Children Hospital currently working with the Pediatric Genetic /Metabolic unit and has over eight years of experience in the field of pediatrics. After obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Medicine from the University of Bahr ElGHazal , Sudan Dr. Nugud completed her internship training in the Ministry of health , UAE where she developed passion for the field of pediatrics that led her to join the pediatric residency training program under Dubai Health Authority in 2012. She was trained in the renowned government hospitals of Dubai (Latifa Women and Children Hospital and Dubai Hospital) for five years. Her qualifications include membership of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, Diploma of child health (RCPCH, UK). She also completed Arab Board specialization in Pediatrics. Dr Nugud has avid interest in evidence-based medicine & has published several papers including book chapters and has been actively involved in teaching pediatric specialty trainees at Dubai Health Authority.
Dr Amal Abdalqader
Abdalqader is a specialist pediatrician who has been working in Latifa Women & Children Hospital since 2013 and gained a considerable experience in pediatric inpatient and emergency care with special interest in all aspects of Hospital Medicine.
After earning her MD Degree from Al-Quds University Medical School in Jerusalem, Dr. Amal joined the faculty as a teacher assistant in basic sciences along with her work as a pediatric resident in Augusta Victoria Hospital. She then moved back to Dubai to be enrolled in the pediatric residency program in Dubai Health Authority and pursue a career as a dedicated pediatrician holding two postgraduate degrees, the Arab Board of Pediatrics & Membership of Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (UK). Dr. Amal has also been involved and interested in research work, quality improvement projects, in addition to developing clinical guidelines of the department. Medical education and clinical teaching is an another area of interest at which Dr. Amal aims to promote excellence.
Dr. Layla Darwish Al Romaithi
Dr. Layla Darwish Al Romaithi is a Consultant Pediatrician in Latifa Women and Children Hospital, Dubai. She is currently the Acting Director of the Pediatric Department. She started her carrier in Abu Dhabi and then moved to Dubai. . She is a graduate of U.A.E. University. She completed her Canadian board in Pediatrics .She is a Fellow at The Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC). She is interested in health administration, teaching and research. She participated in many Pediatric conferences as a lecturer and coordinator.
Dr Mohammed Ali Alsabbah
Dr Mohammed Ali Alsabbah, graduated from university of Baghdad 1993, post graduate Arab Board and Iraqi Board in Pediatric from Baghdad 2001 and 2002 respectively. Joining Dubai Health Authority in 2003 and working currently as a consultant Pediatrician in Latifa Hospital, interesting in pediatric hematology cases, participated in many conference with either research, audit or poster.
Dr. Manal Mustafa
Dr. Manal Mustafa is a consultant pediatric endocrinologist, currently working at Latifa women & children hospital, Dubai. She has been working at DHA, Latifa hospital since Nov. 2005 up-to-date. She obtained the Membership of Royal College of pediatric and child health (MRCPCH) and Arab Board of Pediatrics in 2010. She has Fellowship in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes with Honor degree at King Abdul Aziz medical city for National Guard and King Faisal specialist hospital & research center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
She is currently a member of Residency Research Scientific Committee at Dubai health Authority and a member of Endocrine society and ISPAD. She is also a PALS " Pediatric Advanced Life Support" INSTRUCTOR and provider at Dubai health authority, May 2015 to date. She is a member of Residency Research Scientific Committee at DHA from 15th April 2014 up to date. She served as pediatric residency Program Co-director at DHA for 2 years from Sept 2014 till Sept 2016. She was an organizer of MRCPCH clinical exam in Dubai, Latifa hospital from Jan 2015 till Sept 2016. She is involved actively in the teaching of pediatric residents at DHA from 2014 up to date. She has special interest in academic teaching and in researches.
She has authored many scientific papers which have been published in well-known medical journals. She participated in many international and regional endocrine and pediatric conferences either as a speaker or as a poster/oral presenter. She was awarded "Best presentation Award " in the 2nd Arab Society of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes Conference, 6-8 Nov 2014, Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Sura Ahmed
Dr. Sura is specialist pediatrician working in Latifa women΄s and children’s hospital since 13 years. She graduated from Baghdad Medical College in 1998 and had her Arab board in pediatrics in 2005 . Dr. Sura has special interest in pediatric hematology and had presented several posters in hematology conferences. She also had publications of rare blood disease in international medical journals.
Dr. Samar Almuntaser
Dr. Samar Almuntaser, Pediatric Neurologist in LWCH, Clinical tutor at Dubai medical college. Working in paediatric neurology unit in Latifa hospital since 06/2014. I graduated from Sanaa University in 2008. I did my residency training in Dubai (Dubai Residency Training Program- Paediatrics) Sep 2010 to Sep 2014. Obtained Arab Board and MRCPCH in paediatrics in 2015. Completed Two years of international clinical fellowship in paediatric neurology in Temple street children university hospital in Dublin-Ireland (2016-2018).
Dr. Layla Almarzooqi
Dr. Layla Almarzooqi is a pediatric endocrinologist and diabetes Consultant and is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland school of medicine and surgery and attended her training at the LMU University Clinic in Munich, Germany for her postgraduate studies of the German Facharzt board for pediatrics. She has then obtained her sub specialty clinical fellowship training of Endocrinology and diabetes at Dr. von Haunersches children’s hospital of the Ludwig Maximilian University Clinic in Munich, Germany. She is a member at the Arab Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ASPED) and has participated as a speaker in many pediatrics and endocrine meetings.
