Dr Zyad Saeed

Dr Zyad Saeed is a senior consultant with dual accreditation in both Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine with a dual CCT from the UK General Medical Council and approximately 20 years clinical as well as research experience. He is currently working as a senior consultant in Critical Care Medicine at University Hospital Sharjah. Dr Saeed has a special interest in trauma care, sepsis and invasive as well as non-invasive mechanical ventilation. He has a wealth of experience in trauma care as well as critical illness in both the Emergency Medicine setting as well as the ICU. His experience spans several countries, including  the UK where he completed his undergraduate and postgraduate education. He served as a consultant in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine in Ashford in the UK as well as a clinical tutor in clinical Medicine at the University of Warwick where he held honorary lecturer status. 

Dr. Abdalkarim Nassar 

Dr. Abdalkarim Nassar  is a senior specialist internal medicine and pulmonary medicine specialist. Currently he is working in University hospital Sharjah in as senior specialist in internal medicine department. He has Arab board and Jordanian board in internal medicine and also Jordanian board in pulmonary medicine  in Amman, Jordan. He has three years’ experience in pulmonary diseases ( fellowship) from Jordan university hospital in Amman and before that five years’ experience in internal medicine department( residency program) in Islamic hospital  Amman. He finished bachelor of medicine from Czech republic, first medical faculty, Charles university in Prague.

Dr. Abdalla Ahmed

Dr. Abdalla Ahmed graduated from medical school in Sudan University of Gezira. Has clinical MD in internal medicine from Sudan Medical Specialisation Board. Has a membership of Royal College of Physicians in Internal Medicine from London.
Dr. Abdalla Ahmed has experience of more than 10 years in well-known, reputed hospitals in Sudan, Kuwait and UAE.
He is currently working as Senior Specialist of Internal Medicine in UHS. Taking care of inpatient and critically ill patients in ward, ICU and CCU as well as seeing, following patients in out-patient clinic.

Dr. Fatma H. Sajwani 

Dr. Fatma H. Sajwani is a hematology and Blood Transfusion Specialties and the Medical Director of Sharjah Blood Transfusion and research Center. She is an experienced hematologist, able to prepare and report peripheral blood and bone marrow aspirate slides, coagulation screening tests, doing and interpreting haemoglobin electrophoresis.
In the field of transfusion and blood banking, she is well experienced in cross matches, blood groups determination and antibodies detection tests and very much experienced in donor selection and screening criteria. Experience in a molecular hematology lab techniques including DNA extractions, different PCR amplification techniques; cell culture, flow cytometry as well as many proteomic techniques including protein extraction and identification She has research degree from the department of Molecular Haematology at Barts and the London, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry (University of London) and PhD from UAE University.
She has arranged many national workshops, chair international conference sessions and participated in international scientific events. She has multiple publications in the fields of hematology and blood transfusions. Dr. Fatma Sajwani has intense professional networking with scholars and scientists across the Arab world and Europe.  

Dr. Feras Deyab

Dr. Feras Deyab of University Hospital Sharjah is Arab Board Certified Specialist in Internal Medicine. He has done his Post Graduation in Public Health from University of Wollongong, Australia. Dr. Feras is a Senior Specialist Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology. He underwent extensive medical residency training in a reputed hospital of Dubai
He was working in digestive diseases unit, doing upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and managing of stomach, colon and liver diseases in addition to internal medicine diseases. He has more than 7 years of experience in United Arab Emirates
He is an active member of the Emirates Gastroenterology and Herpetology society and regularly attends local and international seminars and workshop

Dr Ghisson Abdulrazak

Dr Ghisson Abdulrazak is a Senior Specialist at Department of Internal Medicine in University Hospital Sharjah, since 2014 till date. She has more than 10 years’ experience in a well-known and reputed hospitals in Baghdad and also more than 10 years working in United Arab Emirates in a respected hospitals spanning Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Dr Ghisson has gained degree for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Baghdad. She has graduated from Al Mustansiriyah University (one of the biggest medical colleges in the capital Baghdad). She also has extensive experience in managing all critical, unstable and stable medical cases, treating patients with hypertension with its complications, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus with its complications, chest infections, acute asthma and allergy, handling patients with acute ischemic heart attacks, heart failure, managing patients requiring admissions to the intensive care units. Adjunct clinical assistant professor & OSCE examiner at the college of medicine, university of Sharjah since 2014.
Dr. Moayed Alhelfi

Dr. Moayed was recently awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians UK (FRCP). Beside this he was awarded a Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP(UK)) in 2012 and again in 2015 in the field of Endocrinology and Diabetes. He is a member of Medical Protection Society, Association of British Clinical Diabetologist, Society for Endocrinology, British Fertility Society, Young Diabetologist and Endocrinologists’ Forum. Dr. Moayed Alhelfi is a Consultant – Diabetes and Endocrinology with more than 18 years of experience. He has worked in different Hospitals in the UK such as Salford Royal University NHS Foundation Trust and East Lancashire Teaching Hospitals after the end of a structured medical training in Diabetes and Endocrine in the UK. He has a special interest in man’s sexual health such as Erectile dysfunction and male infertility.
For his contribution, he was recognized and awarded with more than ten awards and grants including RCP Certificate of Appreciation, Best SpR of The Year 2013 and Diabetes UK Professional Conference Grant among many others. Dr Alhelfi has a strong, passionate about Medical education and he is one of Co-Organizers of Manchester University SCE course and Manchester Medical School undergraduate examiner. He has published over 25 research papers and abstracts including, the Value of Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology Tests, An Unusual Case of Adrenal Metastases, Utility of Clinical Photography and several others. He’s also been a part of audits as Sepsis Diagnosis and Treatment in Acute Medical Ward, Diabetes Knowledge Survey, Risk of Steroid -Induced / Worsened Diabetes and many others.

Dr. Mohammed Munir Khan

Working and teaching experience of 24 years, in tertiary teaching hospitals, affiliated with university hospiotals.
Residency in prestigious Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), in Islamabad attached to Quaid –e-Azam Medical university. Posted as chief Resident in cardiology department of Aseer central hospital, Abha, king Khalid university Saudi Arabia. Bahrain Defence Force and Royal Military Services hospital as a senior physician and was looking after acute care and intermediate care patient  in internal medicine department. Taught many juniors and senior physicians in their residency in programmes. Adjunct lecturer and clinical tutor to Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) in Bahrain.

Holds a vast experience in treating complex and difficult cases in all fields of internal medicine and has enormous wealth of knowledge pertaining to his field. Certified provider of American heart association for basic and advanced cardiac life support.

Dr. Rabab Zaka

Dr. Rabab Zaka Muhammad is a senior specialist internal medicine  currently working in University Hospital Sharjah since 2019.She has graduated from Dubai Medical College (UAE) as one of the top 5 students of her batch and completed her internship in dubai health authority.She also has 5 years of experience in Rashid Hospital as an Internal Medicine Resident
She is also Member of Royal College of physicians in UK (MRCP ) since 2017 and also of Arab Board of Internal Medicine since 2019. Her special interests include diabetes ,hypertension,asthma and pulmonary diseases,  gastroentestinal disorders and infectious diseases.

Dr. Sameh Elgouhari

After completion of his MBBS in Egypt, Dr. Sameh Elgouhari undertook his Internal Medicine Residency training and certification from Ain Shams University, Elsahel Teaching Hospital & Egyptian Military Hospitals. He obtained Master'sdegree in Internal Medicine from Ain Shams university. Dr. Sameh has more than 15 years of medical experience. He started his career in Egypt where he worked in many Elsahel teaching hospitals, Egyptian military & Ain Shams University hospitals with large exposure to liver & kidney transplantation as part of Multi-Disciplinary team.
Before joining University Hospital Sharjah (UHS), Dr. Sameh had more than 6 years’ experience in Gulf area as he was working as Senior Internist in Kuwait University Teaching Hospital (Mubarak Alkabeer hospital) where he was directly involved in resuscitation, admission, management & follow up of large variety of acute & critically ill medical conditions together with outpatient clinic follow up of chronic illnesses. In addition to his job as a physician, he was providing regular educational and training activities for junior doctors and new graduates of College of Medicine Kuwait University.
Dr. Sameh is a certified provider of the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). 

Dr Ahmed Zayat

Dr Ahmed Zayat is a senior consultant rheumatologist working at University hospital Sharjah.   He was trained in the European center of excellence (EULAR) in Leeds in the UK working with some of the most famous rheumatologists in the world..     Dr Zayat completed his CCT in rheumatology with membership of the royal college of physicians of London (MRCP UK).  Academically, he had masters of science (MSc) in medical imaging, postgraduate certificate in musculoskeletal ultrasound and MD (doctor of Medicine) in rheumatology all from the UK.  He published many rheumatology publications in the highest impact rheumatology journal with active research profile on lupus and medical imaging including well known work of the use of ultrasound in different rheumatic diseases.  Before joining Sharjah Dr Zayat was a senior lecturer at the University of Leeds and a consultant rheumatologist and the clinical lead of the rheumatology department in St Luke’s hospital in Bradford.
