Dr. ATIYA ANJUM
Dr. ATIYA ANJUM is a senior specialist dermatologist and clinical adjunct faculty in University Hospital Sharjah. She has completed her MBBS, DDV from Dhaka University, and then did her post graduate fellowship from Bangladesh College of Physician and Surgeons (FCPS). She has special training in dermatoscope from Cardiff (UK) in detecting melanotic and non melanotic skin cancer as well as other skin conditions. She has special training and fellowship in aesthetic dermatology, she has vast clinical experience in the field of dermatology and venereology.
Dr Fatma Mohamed Mostafa
Dr Fatma Mohamed Mostafa, senior consultant dermatologist in Sharjah university hospital &adjunct professor in college of medicine Sharjah University. Master& Doctorate degree in dermatology Cairo University, advanced courses in lasers Doetinchem, Netherlands. Speaker for lasers in dermatology in Sultarc, UAE. Publications in atopic dermatitis and prurigo pigmentosa skin disorders. CEO of Derma Gulf international dermatology conference in UAE. Broad experience in biological therapy for psoriasis, atopic eczema, chronic spontaneous urticaria, atopic eczema and immunobullous diseases. Advanced course on Phototherapy in psoriasis, vitiligo and scleroderma in Tuebingen University, Germany.
Dr. Laila Adel Mohsen
Dr. Laila is MOH certified consultant of Diagnostic Radiology. She has master’s and MD degrees in Diagnostic Radiology from Minia University, Egypt.
Dr. Laila has 17 years of experience in the field of Diagnostic Radiology. She had worked in Egypt, Ajman and Dubai, before joining University Hospital of Sharjah.
She is experienced in conventional radiography, special procedures such as hysterosalpingography, ultrasound studies including 3D & 4D obstetric scans, transvaginal and small part ultrasound scans including breast and thyroid.
Academically, Dr. Laila was a research associate in Addenbrooke’s hospital, Cambridge, UK. Currently, she is an associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Minia University, Egypt. She had several research studies in the field of neuroradiology, obstetric ultrasound as well as other fields. She has also participated in various local and international conferences.
Dr Mohamed Faraj Dawdi
I am a senior Emergency Physician, currently serving as the chief Emergency physician and head of the Emergency Department at the University Hospital Sharjah. I have a broad Clinical and Academic experience spans over several countries including, UK, Ireland, UAE and Libya, over 29 years, mostly at a senior level. My special interest is dealing with the severely ill patients.
Currently, I have a role as an adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Sharjah. I worked as a supervising tutor for several research studies. I am also a member of the scientific committee of the Libyan Board of Emergency Medicine and an examiner. I am also in the scientific committee of the Arab board of Emergency Medicine. I am an instructor in the local BLS, ACLS and ATLS provider courses in Libya and was the head of the Training Department. Currently I hold valid certificates for BLS, ACLS and PALS. I have participated in several workshops, Seminars and Conferences in different Arabic and European Countries.
Dr. Sammy Weis
Dr. Sammy graduated from Aleppo University, Syria in 1997. He continued his post graduate work at Ministry of Health and Ministry of Higher Education, Damascus, Syria and attained masters degree in Radiology and Radiological Diagnosis.
He was been published in various national and internal medical journals. He is member of Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society (PAIRS), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and The European Society of Radiology (ESR).
As a Sr. Specialist Radiologist, Dr. Sammy has 18 years of experience. Prior to joining University Hospital Sharjah (UHS) he held the position of Sr. Specialist Radiologist, at a private hospital in Sharjah. He moved to UAE from Syria where he was Consultant Radiology at Shifa Hospital and also Head of Department, Medical Imaging Department at Aommaya Hospital. He has also worked in the hospital of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Higher Education, Damascus, Syria. Dr. Sammy has experience in a broad range of general radiology modalities including, ultrasound, CT and MRI body imaging. He has considerable experience in Cardio-vascular, Cardiac CT including angiograms. He is able to perform all kinds of biopsies and aspirations under U/S and CT guided percutaneous operations.
Dr. Ousama Mahdi
Dr. Ousama Mahdi is a German board-certified intervention cardiologist with 30 years of outstanding clinical experience who holds a Facharzt degree in internal medicine/cardiology and sub-specialty in intervention cardiology. Since 1 October 2015, Dr. Mahdi joined UHS as consultant intervention cardiologist and head of interventional cardiology department.
He has special interest in coronary intervention and its related procedures such as primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in acute myocardial infarction, complex coronary intervention, chronic total occlusion (CTO) intervention, and coronary intervention through radial artery access. He is also interested in peripheral vascular intervention.
Dr. Ramy Georgy
Dr. Ramy Georgy is a Ministry of Health certified Consultant Radiologist with Master’s and PhD in Radio diagnosis from Ain Shams University, Egypt. Currently, he is serving as Senior Consultant Radiologist at University hospital of Sharjah.
Dr. Ramy has 21 years of experience in the field of medical diagnostic imaging with special interest in cross sectional imaging including CT scan and MRI studies. Academically, Dr. Ramy is associated with Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt as a lecturer of Radio diagnosis. His last two research studies titled, “Volumetric Ultrasound (3D/4D in the Prenatal Diagnosis of Fetal Anomalies” and “Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Sports Muscle Injuries” were both published in the Egyptian Journal of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Ramy has participated in various local and international conferences pertaining to his area of expertise. He is an active member of several professional organizations including Egyptian Medical Syndicate, Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population as well as the European Society of Radiology.
Dr. Salah El Rai
Dr. Salah El Rai is a senior medical educator, consultant clinical radiologist, and academic professional. Currently, he is serving as consultant radiologist in university hospital Sharjah. He is an experienced clinical radiologist with special interest in neuroradiology, multimodal MR and cardiovascular imaging. His clinical and academic experience spans over several countries including France, Lebanon, Tunisia and UAE. Dr. Salah has more than 16 years’ professional and academic experience in France, Lebanon, Tunisia and UAE. Dr. Salah has French qualifications in neuroradiology, neurovascular imaging, vascular imaging, fetal and perinatal imaging, Gynecological and breast imaging in addition to his American certification in cardiac imaging. He has tutored several workshops about radiation protection in collaboration with the IAEA, radiology quality, recent radiology technological advances and the role of radiology in disease screening. Dr. Salah has authored more than 100 Dr. Salah published over 100 national and international publications. Due to his active roles as a reviewer of the AJR, member of the scientific committee of the ARM organized yearly by the Radiology Society of Emirates and his membership in several international radiology societies (RSNA, ESR, SFR, CIRSE), Dr. Salah has intense professional networking with scholars and scientists across the Arab world, Europe and USA.
