To improve the future first line of defense’s capabilities, the University of Sharjah signed a
Memorandum of Understanding with “Jahiziya”, a medical readiness and response program. This
collaboration aimed at establishing the National Disaster Medicine Center at the Clinical and
Surgical Training Center. The first Basic DisasterLife Support course was held on 12th April 2023.
