Dr.Tharwat Ramadan​

Dr.Tharwat Ramadan, took up education in Mansoura faculty of medicine - Mansoura  University- Egypt. He was graduated in 1982 with MBBCh and he completed his Master's degree in 1988 and his MD in 1994 from Mansoura urology and nephrology center. He worked in MOH, Qassimi hospital, Sharjah as a senior consultant of urology and HOD from May,1997 till November, 2016.

He is currently living in Sharjah - UAE, working as a senior consultant in the urology and Head of department in Univerisity hospital Sharjah. He is a clinical adjunctive assosiate professor of urology in Sharjah medical college, Sharjah university. His main interest is in uro-onchology and endo-urology. 

Prof. Ahmed A. Shorrab

Prof. Ahmed A. Shorrab is a Senior Consultant anesthetist and the head of anesthesia department in University Hospital Sharjah, UAE. Dr. Shorrab has been practicing medicine since 1989 after graduating from Mansoura University in Egypt. He continued his post graduate work in Anesthesiology and went on to complete his Master in Anesthesiology and Surgical Intensive Care from the same university followed by the Doctorate degree in the same field through joint supervision in Mansoura University Hospitals and  in Guy’s Hospital, London, UK. He has special interest in neonatal and pediatric anesthesia since he was the director of anesthesia services for children in the Urology and Nephrology Centre, Mansoura, Egypt. He is also holding Diploma of clinical medical nutrition from the European Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (ESPEN) and a Master degree in Leadership in Health Professions Education from RCSI/UoS. He published in various medical journals and also a peer reviewer for many international journals. He led many training courses in management of difficult airway management, vascular access and procedural sedation. As a professor of anesthesia and clinical sciences in University of Mansoura (Egypt) and University of Sharjah (UAE), he has mentored and supervised many postgraduate students for Master and Doctorate degrees in addition to community based research with undergraduates. He is also a volunteering pediatric anesthetist for international charity missions.

Dr. Ahmad Munzer Alwaa

Dr. Ahmad Munzer Alwaa MD, MSc, FRCS ED, FRCS (ORL-HNS) Senior Consultant ENT Head& Neck Surgeon, Head of ENT Department University Hospital Sharjah.
ENT Senior consultant with 25 years of experience. Advanced surgical training in ENT Head & Neck Surgery.  Experience in dealing with routine and complicated surgical cases, paediatric otolaryngology including Cochlear implant, and cleft lip and palate. I regularly perform routine ENT operative procedures, Facial Plastic Surgery, Rhinoplasty, aero-digestive tract endoscopies, microlaryngoscopy, microsurgery of the ear and larynx, endoscopic sinus surgery as well as cancer surgery of the head and neck.  I acquired extensive experience and training during 18 years of association with various hospitals in UK.  I Published in many medical journals and I had many presentations in national and international conferences, meetings and workshops. Teaching experience: Medical schools in Manchester University UK, and Sharjah University. 

Dr. Atef Demian
Dr. Demian gained a master’s degree (Ms.C) in Anesthesia from Mansoura University, Egypt in 1989 and later completed his M.D Anaesthesia degree in 1994 from the same university.
Dr. Demian has worked as an anesthetist in many hospitals in UAE and Egypt. He is a professor of Anesthesia and ICU in Mansoura University, Egypt since 2005 till now. Before moving to the UAE, He was associated with Mansoura University for 23 years, where other than his clinical responsibilities; he was involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education of anaesthesia courses and was supervising of Master degrees and M.D. degrees of anaesthesia residents and assistant lecturers.
He is Clinical assistant professor in department of clinical sciences, college of medicine, University of Sharjah. Prior to joining University Hospital Sharjah (UHS), he was the Medical Director, Anesthetist and Pain Management in a Day Care Surgery Centre in Dubai for 5 years. His clinical expertise covers all types of anesthesia including peri-operative care, intensive care management of critically ill patients, resuscitation, and pain management.

Dr. Issam Alachkar

Dr. Issam Alachkar is a Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon, and academic professional. European and Arab Board certified. Currently, he is serving as a Senior Consultant in University Hospital Sharjah. He is an experienced in Otorhinolaryngology with special interest in Rhinology, Otology, and facial plastic Surgery. His surgical and academic experience spans more than 19 years. 

Dr Khaled

Dr Khaled finished medical school from Tripoli University and went to complete his M.Sc, specializing in Trauma and Orthopedics, from Birmingham, UK, followed by a fellowship from Royal College of Surgeons Edinburg (FRCSEd). Dr Khaled is a UK board certified in orthopedics and trauma surgery with special interest in lower limb, foot and ankle surgery. He offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment ranging from conservative management to surgical intervention. He specializes in treating all types of orthopedic conditions, including those of the upper extremity, lower extremity, and foot & ankle. He specializes in minimally invasive knee surgery, including meniscus repair and ligament reconstruction in the knee. He also specializes in minimal invasive ankle surgery, including arthroscopy, and lig reconstruction. Prior to joining University Hospital Sharjah, he has worked extensively in the field of trauma and orthopedic surgery in various NHS affiliate hospital in UK and Saudi Arabia and gained significant exposure in the management of orthopedic and trauma cases for 20 years. Dr Khaled is fully accredited international ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) course teacher. He has published and presented his research at numerous local, national, and international conferences.

Dr. Muhammed Ayas

Dr. Muhammed Ayas is a Senior Audiologist and an academic professional. Currently, he is serving as Senior Audiologist at University Hospital Sharjah and Clinical Assistant professor at Clinical sciences dept. College of Medicine. UOS. He is also the program, coordinator for the Professional Diploma in Advanced Vestibular Sciences program offered by COM-UOS. . He is an experienced clinician with  special interest in hearing and balance disorders. Dr.Muhammed Ayas has tutored several Audiology  workshops and conferences on Hearing screening in children, hearing loss and balance disorders .He has published his work in international journals and presented his experience in several local and international Audiology conferences at USA, London, Austria, and New Zealand.. His research interests and focus are on identification of hearing loss and their re/habilitation through hearing aids and cochlear implants, and also  applying the recent technological advances in the vestibular function assessment in different age groups.

Dr. Ziad Kurdali

Dr. Ziad Kurdali graduated Doctor of Medicine with honorable average from University of Damascus, Syria in year 1982. He then further pursued his study to Masters Degree in ENT from the admired University of Berlin (Virchow Krankenhaus) in Germany year 1995. Dr. Ziad Kurdali has an excellent clinical experience in ENT for more than 30 years - handling simple to complicated cases. He is also an ENT Doctor Certified from Berlin, Germany since 1995 up to the present. Aside from his admirable clinical background, Dr. Ziad is also an active member and head manager to different organizations. Among the few are the following: Head Manager (ENT division) Red Crescent Society since 2007 to present, Head Manager of ENT Division in the General Hospital in Damascus since 1995 to date, Head Manager of the Scientific Council for Medical Specialties in Syria, Chaired of the Division ENT in Hasaka Syria for 7 years and Member of the Examination Committee to examine the jurisdiction of the colloquium ENT. Furthermore, he participated in local, regional and international lectures and conferences. He is also a speaker, lecturer and at the same time examiner in the Middlesex University (UK), University of Sharjah (UAE) and Post Graduate Diploma ENT, Rila Institute of Health Science (Sharjah Chapter). Dr. Ziad has been working as a senior ENT specialist, Head and Neck Surgeon in University Hospital Sharjah since March 2013.

Dr. Ayman Younis 

Dr. Ayman achieved post-graduate surgical training in several regions in the UK including hospitals in Essex, Plymouth, and South Wales. He completed his high urological training in the North East of England during which he attained fellowship of the Royal college of Surgeons of England and the European Board of Urology. He underwent sup-specialty training in Surgical Andrology, Urethroplasty and Penile Cancer in Leicester- United Kingdom.
Dr. Ayman Younis is a Consultant Urologist at University Hospital Sharjah, prior to which he was an NHS Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Swansea Bay University Health Board, UK. He advises in all aspects of general Urological abnormalities such as urinary symptoms, blood in the urine, kidney stone disease, benign prostate enlargement, diagnosis and management of various urological cancers, endoscopic management of bladder cancer, and sexual transmitted infections.
He has special interest in Men’s health including Erectile Dysfunction, Penile and testicular prosthesis, Peyronie’s disease, Urethral Stricture disease, penile cancer and reconstruction, Male factor infertility, Hypogonadism (low testosterone), Vasectomy, and Penile lesions. He is also experienced in urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, Urodynamics (both simple and video), bladder pain syndrome, cystitis, and recurrent urinary tract infections. He was the first surgeon to offer UroLift procedure (Minimally invasive prostate operation) in South Wales, UK.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Ayman is accountable for teaching and supervising undergraduate students and junior doctors. He has several publications, book chapters and presentations in national and international forums.
Dr. Ayman is currently an active member of Emirates Urological Society (EUS), The British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) and European Association of Urology (EAU). He was elected as an executive committee member of the Andrology and Genito-Urethral Surgery (AGURS) Section of BAUS. Previously, he was a member of Welsh Urological Society (WUS) and Society of International Urology (SIU).
