Dr. Faraz Khan
Dr. Khan is as a Consultant Hematologist and Medical Oncologist at the American Hospital Dubai. He completed his post graduate medical training from the University of Connecticut, USA and is triple US Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He is area of interest include hematologic malignancies with over 15 years of experience. He is currently serving as a board member and chair media relations for the Emirates hematology society, a senior editor for the New Emirates Medical Journal and an adjunct assist professor at the medical University of Sharjah. He is the course Director and Co-Chair of the Annual International Oncology summit in partnership with Mayo clinic, USA and has served as faculty speaker and chair at various regional and international conferences including Best of ASCO Dubai, Hematology medical education(HME) forum, Emirates Oncology conference, UAE cancer congress, Emirates hematology conference, ESMO middle east and others. Prior to Moving to Dubai, Dr. Khan worked as a Consultant Medical Oncologist/Hematologist at PEI Cancer Treatment Center, Canada, where he also served as a primary investigator for the clinical trials in Hematologic diseases. He was a member of Association of Hemophilia Clinic Directors of Canada and directed the provincial Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorder Clinic.
Dr. Dima H Abdul Jabbar
Dr. Abdul Jabbar is an American Board of Medical Oncology/Internal medicine certified consultant with over 10 years of clinical experience. She started her career as Oncology Hospitalist at Wayne State University, Karmanos Cancer Institute in Michigan, USA and afterwards as a Medical Oncologist and Assistant Professor at University of South Florida and H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida, USA and for the past 2 years she was practicing in UAE at Health Bay Polyclinic, Al Zahra Hospital, Dubai and Gulf International Cancer Center in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Dr. Dima has also been an active staff oncologist at Bay Care Hospital and Cancer Center in Florida, USA for the past two years. Dr. Dima Abdul Jabbar completed her residency training in Internal Medicine in St. John Hospital and Medical Center/Wayne State University in Michigan, USA (2011) and the same year received the American Board in Internal Medicine.
She also served as a clinical research fellow at the lymphoma department in MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, USA. She has completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology (2013) at University of Nevada School of Medicine, Nevada, USA an obtained the American Board in Medical Oncology certification as well. Dr. Dima has a passion for education and learning. She has led and served as a member of the Multidisciplinary tumor board teams in her scope of clinical practice and has been actively involved in several clinical trials throughout her career journey at internationally recognized cancer centers in the United States.
Dr. Tarek Dufan
Dr. Tarek Dufan is a Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist and has worked as Cancer Liaison Physician at the Sanford Bismarck Health Center, North Dakota, USA. He has also worked as a Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the Bismarck Cancer Center, Sanford Bismarck Health Center and CHI St. Alexius Health Center, North Dakota, USA. Dr. Dufan received his certification from the American Board and the Canada Board in Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Heyman Luckraz
Dr. Heyman Luckraz is a senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Journal reviewer, recognized trainer in Cardiothoracic surgery and academic professional. Currently, he is working at the American Hospital (Dubai) as the Chief Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon. He is an experienced surgeon providing surgery for adult cardiac and thoracic patients with special interest in minimally invasive surgery. His surgical and academic experience spans over several major Centres in the UK namely Papworth Hospital (Cambridge), The Heart and Lung Centre (Wolverhampton), The University Hospital of Wales (Cardiff), St Georges Hospital (London), John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford) and The Royal Brompton Hospital (London). Dr. Luckraz has accumulated awards and accolades for his work over the years, collecting achievements such as the Clinical Excellence Award in 2013 and 2016, a Silver Scalpel nomination in 2016 and, most recently, the JWC Award. In parallel with his work in surgery, Dr. Luckraz often partakes in seminars, roundtables, research projects and medical presentations on topics such as Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Acute Kidney Injury & Ventilator Associated Pneumonia after cardiac surgery, Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) and Cost-effectiveness in the delivery of HealthCare. He has tutored several workshops about basic surgical skills and specialist skills in Cardiothoracic surgery. Dr Shaaraoui is a medical educator, clinical cardiologist, cardiac electrophysiologist and academic professional. Dr Shaaraoui completed his medical and cardiac electrophysiology training at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic and Yale. Currently, he is serving as a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at American Hospital Dubai . He is an experienced cardiologist with special interest in cardiac arrhythmias and preventive cardiology. His clinical and academic experience spans over several countries including Lebanon, United States and United Arab Emirates. Dr Shaaraoui is currently serving as a chairman of Cardiac Resuscitation Committee at American Hospital Dubai. He is American Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Echocardiography. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society. He is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.
