Greetings from Clinical Sciences Department (CSD), College of Medicine, University of Sharjah. CSD is the main hub for clinical training in the College of Medicine. The department is responsible for clinical teaching in University Hospital Sharjah, Ministry of Health hospitals, and other affiliated hospitals. Clinical training in years 4 and 5 is mostly hospital-based and covers all aspects of medicine focusing on thorough history taking, complete physical examination skills, practical laboratory tests' interpretation and various management options.
In order to engage and update the adjunct clinical faculty about the curriculum, teaching methods, course contents and assessment, we have developed a rich online platform. This platform is available at the College of Medicine website and the contents will be periodically updated to keep abreast with the educational reforms and intervention. The clinical clerkship manuals, study guides, contents to cover during rotation, competencies to achieve, and timetables are available for each discipline.
