Spotlight on the provisions introduced of the Federal Penal Code
Decree-by-Federal Law No. 15 of 2020
The Public Law Department held a symposium on 03/25/2021, at 10:00 AM, entitled "A Spotlight on the New Provisions of the Federal Penal Code", with the participation of faculty members, legal experts, and students of both the graduate and undergraduate programs of the College of Law.
The symposium aimed to focus on the recent amendments in the Federal Penal Code pursuant to Federal Decree-Law No. (15) of 2020, as these amendments consisted of adding new articles, canceling existing articles, and amending the texts of some articles; All of this is within the framework of a new legislative policy expressed by the legislator in this decree-law.
The inaugural session was moderated by Dr. Manal Munjid, Head of the Public Law Department. The session began with a speech by His Excellency Prof. Emad El Din Abdel Hay, Dean of the College of Law, who praised the excellent organization of this seminar and the topics discussed, and welcomed the special guest, His Excellency Judge Dr. Abdullah Al Shamsi - President of the Criminal Court in Dubai Courts. The seminar was organized in one session chaired by Dr. / Manal Munjid, and was designed to for Judge Dr. Abdullah Al-Shamsi to discuss the criminal judiciary's handling of the new amendments.
