Law and Prospects for Sustainable Development
As part of the efforts of the College of Law at the University of Sharjah to keep in pace with all developments, a symposium was held on 02/18/2021, at 10:00 am, under the title "Law and Prospects for Sustainable Development" with the participation of faculty members and students of both the graduate and the undergraduate programs.
The symposium aimed to examine the concept of sustainable development in all its forms and to clarify the role of legal legislation today in the pursuit of achieving sustainable development goals.
The opening session began with a speech by His Excellency Prof. Muammar Battayeb / Vice President of the University for Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, who praised the College of Law for the extent of its distinguished efforts, and the importance of the topics covered in its symposiums and the selection of the best modern topics to be presented in an advanced way for scientific benefit. Then His Excellency Prof. Imad El Din Abdel Hay / Dean of the College of Law presented his speech in which he praised the distinguished organization of the symposium and the topics presented, stressing on the contribution of the College of Law to achieving the vision of the University of Sharjah for sustainable development The symposium was organized in one session chaired by Prof. Rasha Hattab, Professor of Commercial Law - University of Sharjah
