Employment History
Dr. Fawzia is an Associate Professor at the Mass Communication Section at the University of Sharjah. She obtained her Ph.D from Cairo University in 1998, where she studied the impact of Children’s television Programs on child viewers in the U.A.E. She completed a Master's Degree from Wisconsin University, Milwaukee in USA and produced a thesis about analysing educational television programs for children. She attained a Higher Education Diploma from Cairo University – Public Relations Section where she also completed a Bachelor's Degree in History. She has worked as an instructor at the Emirates University – Mass Communication Section) from 1988 until 1999. She was then recruited by the University of Sharjah, where she has worked as an assisstant professor and was promoted to an associate professor in 2015. She was the Assistant Dean at the College of Communication between 2011 to 2012 and Head of the Mass Communication Section at the Faculty of Communication.
