Meeting with Prof. Oussama Khatib and Prof. Kamal Youcef-Toumi

The Dean of the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI), Professor Abbes Amira welcomed  Prof. Kamal Youcef-Toumi, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Co-Director of the Center for Clean Water and Energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) –USA, and Prof. Oussama Khatib Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and the Director of Stanford Robotics Lab, Stanford University, USA - Members of Board of Trustees.

The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of the achievements and challenges encountered by the college in the previous year. The discussion encompassed an assessment of academic accomplishments, research endeavors, and notable milestones. Particular attention was given to understanding the challenges faced by students and faculty members, aiming to address and overcome obstacles for enhanced academic and research experiences.​

To gain a hands-on perspective, the participants undertook a visit to the college's laboratories. This visit allowed for a firsthand inspection of the facilities, equipment, and ongoing projects.

The Dean and other attendees engaged in discussions with students and faculty, fostering a direct exchange of insights and feedback.

The meeting served as a crucial platform for evaluating the overall well-being of the college, identifying areas of improvement, and appreciating the dedication and efforts of students and faculty members. This proactive approach toward understanding and addressing challenges demonstrates the commitment of the leadership to foster a conducive learning and research environment within the College of Computing and Informatics.
