Meeting with Dahua Technology

The Dean of the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI), Prof. Abbes Amira and the Assistant Dean for Graduate Student, Dr. Mohammed Saad, met with Dahua Technology on Tuesday, 19th Dec 2023. The goal of the meeting between the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI) and Dahua Technology, a well-known provider of AI solutions with a focus on AI security, was to establish a broad partnership that would include training workshops, events, student internships, and research collaboration. In order to promote mutual growth and development, both parties committed to offering meaningful internship opportunities for students, planning joint events to build industry-academic connections, supporting research initiatives that benefit both parties and holding specialized training workshops for faculty and students. The collaborative framework seeks to advance students' skill sets, enable innovative research, and support teacher and student professional growth. Formalizing precise plans and deadlines to execute these cooperative projects is what comes next.



A meeting was held to talk about a possible strategic alliance to investigate the following joint projects:

• Technology Strategic Partnership: In order to further the goals of the university, Dahua Technology seeks to be a technology strategic partner by providing cutting-edge AI technology, resources, and knowledge.

• Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): formally committing by signing an MOU. This Memorandum of Understanding may cover initiatives such as knowledge exchange programs, internships, and innovation laboratories.

• To establish a cooperative relationship that is mutually beneficial, encourages creativity, and offers the community, educators, and students priceless opportunities.

• To have a thorough discussion of these ideas and customize the relationship to the goals of the college.

• To investigate how Dahua Technology and the College of Computing and Informatics might collaborate to further excellence and advancement, thereby improving education and innovation.
