Second Symposium on E-Commerce & Cybersecurity SEC 2022

​The College of Computing & Informatics, in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, College of Business Administration, College of Law, and College of Communication, organized the Second Symposium on E-commerce & Cybersecurity SEC 2022.

The University of Sharjah has made significant investments in Cybersecurity and E-Commerce related domain. These are critical in developing new interconnected technologies and systems such as the internet of things (IoT), cloud computing, data analytics, deep learning, machine learning, robotics, blockchains etc.

This event brought together faculty and students from across the university. It discussed topics related to flourishing E-Commerce while preserving a secure online environment, from the academic perspective represented by the University of Sharjah and the business sector represented by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The symposium ended with the announcement of the winners of the E-Commerce Hackathon and Cybersecurity & Security Application competitions.

As part of the Cybersecurity week, the event contributes to the College's mission of providing students with the necessary innovation and employability abilities and developing skills to satisfy society's demands and raising awareness about cybersecurity and E-Commerce applications and challenges.
