Academic advising for IS Students

Academic advising is a continuous process during which students receive guidance and mentoring in academic program planning, which should be compatible with students' life goals. To assist students in realizing their life goals means helping students gain knowledge in their educational and career goals in a friendly and welcoming environment. To increase students' awareness of the importance of academic advising, the Information Systems (IS) Department held a virtual event on Zoom for its students who major and minor in Business Information Systems on 14/2/2022 from 2:00-3:30. The event included talks from the Dean of the College of Computing and the Chair of the IS Department. The A senior students and an Alumni student also shared their advising experience. A digital academic advising brochure that included the main academic advising guidelines was sent to all the students at the end of the event.
