IEEE CCCI 2020 conference virtually held from 03-05 November 2020. Held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah. Obaidat, Dean, College of Computing and Informatics University of Sharjah, Sharjah, UAE. The conference gathers an eclectic collection of expertise from leading researchers of international repute as attendees, presenters, session chairs and keynote speakers.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Communication Society and the University of Sharjah as the widest and oldest technical societies in the domain from Alexander Graham Bill to date, were the technical sponsors of this esteemed conference.
Attracting over 123 high-quality papers from across the globe, and upon a meticulous review process, around 45 per cent of submitted papers were accepted. The paper presentation was divided into various sessions over three days. Each session had four-five virtual or recorded presentations followed by discussions with the authors. There were three Communications sessions, one Computing session, six Informatics sessions, and two Cybersecurity sessions. At the same time, Deep Learning and Applications had one session with wide selection of applications.
In addition to the high-calibre of the presented work, eight keynote speeches from leading experts in the various facets of computing mesmerised the attendees with an in-depth exploration for critically known challenges and trends of the domain, including but not limited to cutting-edge research topics in Cloud/Edge Computing, Modelling and Simulation, Data Engineering, Security and Privacy, as well as Artificial Intelligence Computing.
The conference closing session concluded with a Plenary Panel discussion on "Recent Trends and Challenges in Communications, Computing, Cybersecurity and Informatics". Attended by a wide audience it was indeed one of the highlights of the Conference ending the scientific event on a high note on 5th November with the best paper award and acknowledging various speakers. The General Chair was Mohammad S. Obaidat, and members of the international organizers as the Technical and Executive chairs announced awarded the three best papers of in different streams and announcing the next year conference to take place in Beijing China.
