Salah Tahir Mohamed Sharif Al Haj; PhD in Quality Management ( University of Salford, UK).Vice Chancellor for Community AffairsPrior to his appointment as Vice Chancellor on July 2009, Dr. Salah Al Haj served as Director General of Sharjah Municipality during the years 2007-2009.
Also Dr. Salah Al Haj served in many positions in the UAE that can be referred to as follows :-
- Director of Center of Continuing Education &Community Services , UOS.
- General Manager of Melaplast Factory , UAE.
- Quality Engineer at Dubai Municipality/Construction Quality.
Dr. Salah Al Haj obtained bachelor of Science degree in mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder USA. He graduated from the University of Wollongong, Australia with a Masters degree in Business Administration. Also Dr. Salah Al Haj is a certified lead auditor for ISO9000 Quality Management System.
Dr. Salah Al Haj is an active member in many associations that deal with community service; training; Urban planning and Quality, some of these committees are:- Advisory committee/ Higher Colleges of Technology; Emirates Engineering association; GCC training ; Training network team; IEASTS for the UAE & the International Quality Association..
Dr. Salah Al Haj served as a board member in the following organizations:- Sharjah Transport Authority 2007-2009; Sharjah Urban Planning Council 2007-2009; Sharjah Infrastructure committee 2007-2009; Sharjah Economic Award Council 2007-current; and Vice Chairman of Sharjah Classic Car Museum & Club.
Also Dr. Salah Al Haj is the founder and chaired the Distinguished Employee Award Committee in the Government of Sharjah 2005-2007.
