Nominations by the annual Faculty Incentive Award Committee in the field of teaching shall be ranked and placed in order, according to scores, after first verifying their compliance with the terms/conditions and procedures for the award. Following is the scoring table for the award evaluation criteria:
Teaching philosophy and reasons that merit granting of the award to the nominee (less than 150 words).
Design and development of new curricula or courses.
Contribution to quality assurance at the level of courses and/or study programs (academic accreditation).
Participation in meetings and/or workshops related to program development and implementation.
Introducing new and effective educational methods.
Innovative use of modern teaching and learning technologies and the impact of such.
Diversity of courses taught by the applicant.
Participation in meetings and/or workshops related to the development of teaching and learning methods.
Academic supervision of theses, research, training, graduation and textbooks.
The department chair's evaluation of the faculty member for the previous three academic years based on the annual report. A copy of the report shall be signed by the candidate and submitted.
Student evaluations and observations (and any other evaluations). A copy of all student evaluations for the courses taught by the candidate in the previous three academic years.
Recommendations and testimonies of department chairs, students and colleagues, indicating areas of excellence and the impact of such.
Recognition by local or international bodies regarding the aforementioned contributions of the applicant.
Extra-curricular activities.
Academic advising.
Any other educational activities.
Organization of file.
