The University of Sharjah (UoS) Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (JHSS) is a double blind peer-reviewed and refereed journal published by the University of Sharjah. The main objective of the UoS JHSS is to promote interdisciplinary studies in humanities and social sciences, to provide an intellectual platform for international scholars and to become a leading journal in humanities and social sciences in the Gulf region and in the world. The UoS JHSS is published twice a year in both print and online version. It accepts papers written in Arabic and English languages. The journal publishes original and high-quality articles in the fields of applied social sciences, Arabic language studies, arts, business studies, cross-cultural studies, economics, education, English studies, environment, ethics, gender studies, history, journalism, library and information science, linguistics, literature, literary criticism, media and communication studies, political science, population studies, psychology, religious studies, sociology, social welfare, tourism, and other areas encompassing a wide range of topics, methodologies and disciplinary perspectives that respond to a diverse and multidisciplinary readership. The UoS JHSS is entirely committed to the open access initiative and provides easy access to all its articles immediately after they are published.
