To become a highly recognized center and a hub for innovation in water and environmental conservation R&D for a sustainable future.

Mission:
 
To serve the community through advancing knowledge and providing sustainable solutions and technologies in the areas of:

• Environmental and water resource conservation and environmental protection.
• Water desalination and treatment technologies.
• Development of novel and cost-effective integrated water processing technologies
• Environmental Impact Assessment, monitoring and life-cycle assessment.

Objectives:
 
The objectives of the center are as follows:

• Conduct basic and applied research and development activities in the center's primary research areas.
• Advance current knowledge by publishing research findings in high-quality journals and presenting at international conferences.
• Serve the community by developing and providing solutions, products, systems, policies, software, decision-support systems, and specialized training opportunities.
• Establish strategic partnerships and exchange programs with leading government entities, businesses, industries, and academic organizations both locally and internationally.
• Engage in research and development activities aligned with the strategic plans of Sharjah, the UAE, and the Middle East Region.
• Train graduate and undergraduate students, research assistants, and post-doctoral fellows.
