Applied Sociology Research Center seeks to become one of the major centers of scientific research in the area of Applied Social Research in the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab world.  The Center also seeks to become a center of excellence at local, regional and global levels in the fields of studies, research and community service in social issues related to the family, childhood and women, the elderly, crime and criminal justice in conformity with the vision of the University of Sharjah.

The Center is committed to conduct studies and research, organize, conferences and seminars and provide consultancy in areas related to issues of family and children, women and elderly, crime and criminal justice.  It seeks to attract the best scientists and distinguished researchers  in the field of Applied Sociology in order to contribute to the development of its programs and the design of social policies for the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates in particular and the Arab World in general.
