The University of Sharjah’s Dean of the College of Computing and Informatics Chaired Two International Conferences

Prof. Mohammad S. Obaidat, Dean of the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of Sharjah, chaired two international conferences over three days with the participation of several international organizations, including Microsoft, Google, Thomson Reuters, Scopus, and others. This is via remote communication technology. The first conference was held under the title "ICETE 2020: 17th International Conference on E-Business and Telecommunications", which contained six international conferences, namely the 11th International Conference on Data Communication Networking – DCNET2020; the 11th International Conference on Optical Communication Systems – OPTICS2020; the 17th International Conference on e-Business – ICE-B2020; the 17th International Conference on Security and Cryptography – SECRYPT2020; 17th International Conference on Signal Processing and Multimedia Applications – SIGMAP2020; and the 17th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Systems – WINSYS2020. This in addition to six keynote speakers at the conference, researchers from all continents of the world and from about 45 countries including the United Arab Emirates participated in the conference.

Prof. Mohammad S. Obaidat also chaired the 10th International Conference on Simulation and Modelling Methodologies, Technologies and Applications "SIMULTECH 2020." The conference aimed to bring together researchers, engineers, applied mathematicians and practitioners interested in progress and applications in all areas of modelling and simulation, in addition to the topics listed under all these tracks that highlight the conference's focus on aspects related to computer modelling and simulation, Petri networks, and business process modelling and simulation. The conference also dealt with four main areas: computer simulation tools and platforms, basic methods and algorithms, complex system modelling and simulation, and application domains. Scientists and researchers from about 42 countries around the world participated in the conference, noting that accepted research papers at the conference will appear in Scopus and will be published by Springer Publishing House.
