With 40 Emirati and German Participating Researchers: The 7th Emirati-German Congress in Medicine and Dentistry to Start in November

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah, the University is organizing the 7th Emirati-German Congress in Medicine and Dentistry. The Congress will take place at the Medical and Health Sciences Campus at the University of Sharjah this upcoming November 3rd through the 4th, 2019. The Congress comes in collaboration with German universities and hospitals, the Sharjah Health Authority, and the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA). 

Prof. Qutayba Hamid Al Heialy, Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences and Dean of College of Medicine, stated that the University of Sharjah is hosting this Congress for the past seven years with the aim of exchanging expertise and ensuring effective collaboration in medical education especially at the graduate level and in professional training. He also stressed that the Congress is unique in that it proposes the most important cases in the medical and health sciences fields as well as the most recent developments, practices, technologies and devices in medical and dental treatments. 

Prof. Al Heialy added that the Congress is hosting 40 Emirati and German researchers from various universities and hospitals. It will feature a number of lectures covering topics such as cancer, infections, immune and heart diseases, endoscopic surgeries, and orthopedic and neurosurgeries. It will also include lectures about functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of the face and jaw, as well as workshops on dental implants. Fifty graduate, medical and dental students will be presenting their research papers on the sidelines of the Congress.
