His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah, assured that the University continuously works towards preparing scientists and specialists equipped with the best qualities to continue in advancing in the various fields that support national, regional, and international developments.
This came during His Highness' congratulatory word to the graduates during the University of Sharjah's Graduate Studies graduation ceremony of 249 students, and in the attendance of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Sharjah. The 249 graduate comprised of 28 PhD graduates, and 221 Master's level graduates.
The Ruler of Sharjah continued that the University of Sharjah is celebrating the graduation of a new batch of scientists and specialists who will carry the responsibility of contributing to the UAE's national development. His Highness then shared the University's upcoming plans to expand the number of graduate studies programs to over 50 programs at the PhD and Master's level in the various medical, health, engineering, sciences, and humanities fields.
For his part, the Chancellor of the University of Sharjah Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy congratulated the graduating students and assured them that one of the main goals of the University is to prepare cadres capable of meeting the demands of modern and national developments.
Graduating student Salha Suleiman Al Hassani from the Master's in Engineering Management program gave the graduates' address, extending their thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his continued support of the academic process and in building educational environments that establish the Emirate of Sharjah as a beacon of science and culture. She also extended their thanks to the faculty and staff members of the University for their unceasing effort in preparing them for their journeys.
Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Director of the office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, attended the ceremony along with Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police; H.E. Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Protocol, Transport & Traffic Department; His Highness Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Seaports and Customs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development; H.E. Rashid Ahmad bin Sheikh, Chairman of the Ruler's Court; as well as a number of Sharjah Government entities Chairmen and Directors, Members of the Board of Trustees, and faculty and staff members.
