Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, attended the University of Sharjah's Spring 2018/2019 graduation ceremony of the 9th female students batch. This in the attendance of Her Highness Sheikha Aisha bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The graduating students reached 629 from the Colleges of Shari'a and Islamic Studies, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, Fine Arts and Design, Communications, and Community at the Bachelor's and Diploma Levels.
Her Excellency Jameela Al Muheiri, Minister of State for Public Education, attended the ceremony along with H.E. Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Sciences; H.E. Khawla Abdulrahman Al Mulla, Chairperson of the Sharjah Consultative Council; female members of the Board of Trustees of the UoS; Dr. Salama Al Rahoomi, Dean of Student Affairs; a large group of female officials; several faculty and staff members as well as a number of the students' guardians.
During her congratulatory word on the occasion, Dr. Muhadditha Yahya Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and Member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Sharjah, shared a number of her experiences and gave the graduates advice to have clear goals and to commit and be diligent in their pursuits.
For her part, Dr. Salama Al Rahoomi gave a word on behalf of His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, during which she extended her thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University, for his unceasing support of the academic and scientific pursuits of the University and its students. She also congratulated the students and their guardians on his accomplishment and highlighted the efforts of the University to provide the most advanced and fully equipped learning environments to facilitate their academic journeys.
Graduating student Huwaida Al Sharqi from the College of Communications gave the graduates' address during which she also expressed their gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, the University, faculty and staff members, and their guardians for their support during their time at the University of Sharjah.
